Home Again, Home Again, Clippety Clop

My house smells funny, like dirty laundry and dirty dishes and boy.

Evan picked me up at the airport last night and we got home about midnight. After 12 days, away, walking into the house was like walking onto the set of a favorite movie, a place I know well but am not exactly involved with.

Lord God, I've got a lot to do. Payroll this morning, of course, but more than the literal things like that, I've got to get my figurative house in order.

Updates soon.

My 15 years younger brother lived wiht us for a while a couple of years back. Love him, but that is not a smell I miss.

Welcome back home!

I know what you mean about re-entering your home. I was gone for two weeks and even though no one was here but the cat and the acquariums, it felt like it had an "empty smell". Make sense?
It is funny how much work an empty house creates!
Cob webs, dust bunnies....just a stale layer of "empty" on everything. Maybe it was just the lonely in me coming out?
Whip up something that smells good...like a pan of brownies. Then, stuff your face and smile through your work.
Hope your trip was truly awesome!

You sure you're not at my house? ;)

I've been there too. Two weeks ago my boy stayed at the house while we went away. I am still finding little reminders that thing were a bit amiss. The smell is back to normal though. Welcome back!

Welcome home (a bit belated). Sorry I am so behind here. So glad you got to do this trip and had a great time and learned all kinds of things you can tell us about.

I miss you, I fantasize about being at your house often.

More soon, I hope. :)
