A Little Pencil in the Hand of God

Searching for something else, I came across these words attributed to Mother Theresa:

I'm a little pencil in the hand of a writing God who is sending a love letter to the world.

No coincidences, you know. These were the perfect words to introduce the work of a new friend, Prema, whom I met at the writer's workshop in Portland. Prema's blog River's Grace truly is a love letter to the world, particularly to the world of her young daughter, River.

Prema's work is poetic, inspirational, grace-filled, and wise. Please savor it and enJOY.

Jeri - just read your story from the workshop and it's incredible! Also read the not-so-positive reaction from your mom. So sorry for the hurt that brought, but like others said, those habits of criticism don't die out easily. Relish the praise of your friends and fellow writers and you sweet old dad!

I started reading Prema's work the next day after your workshop- Thanks for the tip- Her words are a gift to us all. What an inspiration she is!
And by the way Jerri- take a look in the mirror- your wisdom and humor take us places that show us a love filled life. Keep writing my friend, just keep going.
